Performance

The Mazda CX-30 offers a less advanced torsion beam suspension on all trims, whereas the HR-V comes standard with an independent 4-wheel suspension on every trim. The CVT transmission in the HR-V is known to be “Class-Leading”, whereas the CX-30 offer an outdated 6-speed automatic transmission that operates not so fuel efficient. As well, the HR-V gas tank is much bigger holding a 53L gas tank compared to the CX-30’s tank which holds 48L.

The HR-V has a stronger engine than the Nissan Qashqai’s, including having more horsepower than the Qashqai. The HR-V has 158 HP, whereas the Qashqai only has 141 HP. The Mazda CX-30 differs from the HR-V EX-L Navi, which offers two unique electrostatic rear overhead lights that can be operated with finger swipes. The CX-30 only offers one conventional rear map light in the middle. HR-V comes standard with a Maintenance Minder system that recommends servicing based on how the vehicle is driven. CX-30’s maintenance reminder is only time and mileage-based. The Mazda CX-30 does not offer mess-free fill-ups as the HR-V does with its capless fueling system for easy and clean fill-ups.

The Nissan Qashqai offers a 7-inch display even on the top platinum trim, whereas the HR-V EX-L Navi offers a responsive 9-inch color touchscreen with crisp, high-resolution graphics.
